Role Description

As an ALDI Seasonal Shift Manager, you step into a key leadership role during high-volume holiday and peak seasonal shopping windows. You lead store team execution, direct front-end cashier queue speeds, oversee evening restocking, and execute secure store opening and closing routines during our busiest months. This position allows experienced retail leads to demonstrate their leadership capability inside ALDI's model, with top performers frequently transitioning into permanent Shift Manager or Store Manager Trainee positions. This role is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site presence at the store (no remote capability).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead seasonal store associate teams during high-volume holiday shopping rushes, maintaining floor execution and morale.
• Manage front-end checkout lanes, directing backup cashiers to keep line wait times short.
• Oversee seasonal merchandise display stocking, aisle conditioning, and cardboard recycling.
• Execute cash drawer reconciliations, perform safe audits, and process bank deposit drops.
• Conduct store opening or closing protocols, including alarm security and facility lockups.
• Address customer service escalations and enforce company policies and safety standards.
• Co-lead seasonal staff coaching and shift performance guidance.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; prior retail supervisory experience required.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills under high-volume conditions.
• Physical capability to perform retail management tasks (lifting up to 45 lbs, standing, walking).
• Flexibility to work peak seasonal schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
