Role Description

As an ALDI Full-Time Shift Manager, you provide consistent, high-level operational leadership across a guaranteed 32-to-40-hour weekly schedule. Working across rotating morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, you direct daily floor execution, manage cash register till compliance, oversee freight unloading, and coach store associates. This role serves as a primary pipeline for Store Manager Trainee promotions, providing comprehensive exposure to store financial management, inventory audits, and team leadership. This position is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site presence at the store (no remote options allowed).

Key Responsibilities

• Direct daily store team execution across cashiering, inventory stocking, and facility sanitation routines.
• Execute register safe reconciliations, audit cash drawer drops, and process daily financial bank deposits.
• Oversee inbound logistics delivery unloading, verifying manifests and maintaining stockroom safety.
• Manage front-end checkout speeds, directing backup cashiers during peak customer shopping hours.
• Perform store opening and closing protocols, including alarm security and building lockups.
• Execute food safety audits, cold-chain temperature checks, and product quality reviews.
• Deliver performance feedback, mentor store associates, and assist with new-hire onboarding.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; prior retail or restaurant leadership preferred.
• Strong decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform retail work (lifting up to 45 lbs, standing, bending, reaching).
• Availability to work rotating full-time schedules including open, mid, and close shifts.
• Basic financial math proficiency and cash drawer audit experience.
